Knock Sensor On-Vehicle Inspection
Precautions: General safety (00)
1)With ignition “OFF”, disconnect connector (2) from knock sensor.
2)Connect oscilloscope (1) to knock sensor connector as shown in figure.
3)Check that oscilloscope displays waveform like a one shown below when cylinder block is given a shock by plastic hammer.
If faulty condition is found, replace knock sensor.
If faulty condition is found, replace knock sensor.
