Fuel Injector Cleaning Procedure (Market Code P10, P37, P38, P71 and P96)

NOTE:
If injector inspection and/or cleaning is not performed periodically, fuel injectors could become inoperative affected by carbon deposit.
Before performing the injector inspection and cleaning, observe Precautions for Fuel System Service:K14C.
1)With ignition “OFF”, connect SUZUKI scan tool to DLC (1).
2)Start engine and warm it up to normal operating temperature.
3)Select “Data List” mode on SUZUKI scan tool.
4)While idling, check “Long Term Fuel Trim” under “Data List”.
“Long Term Fuel Trim” is 23% or more
Fuel injector cleaning is not necessary.
“Long Term Fuel Trim” is 23% or more
a)Pour cleaning agent into fuel tank.
Cleaning agent: SUZUKI Injector Cleaner
Cleaning agent: SUZUKI Injector Cleaner
Amount of the agent
300 cm3 (300 ml, 10.14 US.oz, 10.56 Imp.oz)
b)Fill up the fuel tank.
c)Drive vehicle until tank becomes empty, and then fuel injector cleaning will be completed.
“Long Term Fuel Trim” is below 23%Fuel injector cleaning is not necessary.
5)With ignition “OFF”, disconnect SUZUKI scan tool from DLC.
