For 4WD control system, 4WD control module has the following functions:
•When ignition is changed to “ON” with engine off, turn on the 4WD warning light (1) for two seconds to check operation of warning light.
•When an abnormal condition in the system is detected, 4WD warning light is turned on or blinking and DTC is stored in the memory of 4WD control module. The 4WD control module sends a signal to the combination meter through CAN communication. The instructions are displayed on the information display (2) urging vehicle driver to exercise caution and perform required operations.
