Hood Removal and Installation

Removal

1)Remove 4 hood hinge bolts (1) to detach hood (2).

2)Remove hood hinge after removing front fender, if necessary.

Installation

Reverse removal procedure noting the following points.

•Apply sealant “A” to contact face of hood hinge.

“A”: Sealant 99000–31110 (SUZUKI Bond No.1215)

•Adjust hood lock position if necessary.

•Tighten hood hinge bolts to specified torque.

Tightening torque

Hood hinge bolt (a): 19 N·m (1.9 kgf-m, 14.0 lbf-ft)
