INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1.

CHECK WIRE HARNESS (TO GROUND)

(a) Turn the ignition switch to LOCK.

(b) Disconnect the negative (-) terminal cable from the battery, and wait for at least 90 seconds.

(c) Measure the resistance between the body ground and LBE+ of the connector on the center airbag sensor side between the front seat inner belt LH (seat belt buckle switch LH) and the center airbag sensor.

Standard resistance:

1 MΩor higher

NG

GO TO STEP 6

OK

2.

CHECK WIRE HARNESS (TO +B)

(a) Connect the negative (-) terminal cable to the battery, and wait at least for 2 seconds.

(b) Turn the ignition switch to ON.

(c) Measure the voltage between the body ground and LBE+ of the connector on the center airbag sensor side between the front seat inner belt LH (seat belt buckle switch LH) and the center airbag sensor.

Standard voltage:

Below 1 V

NG

GO TO STEP 7

OK

3.

CHECK FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Connect the connector of the front seat inner belt LH (seat belt buckle switch LH).

(b) Unlock the seat belt for the driver's seat.

(c) Measure the resistance between the body ground and LBE+ of the connector on the center airbag sensor side between the front seat inner belt LH (seat belt buckle switch LH) and the center airbag sensor.

Standard resistance:

1 kΩ to 1.6 kΩ

NG

REPLACE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH

OK

4.

CHECK FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Lock the seat belt for the driver's seat.

(b) Measure the resistance between the body ground and LBE+ of the connector on the center airbag sensor side between the front seat inner belt LH (seat belt buckle switch LH) and the center airbag sensor.

Standard resistance:

100 Ω to 500 Ω

NG

REPLACE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH

OK

5.

CHECK CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY

(a) Turn the ignition switch to LOCK.

(b) Disconnect the negative (-) terminal cable from the battery, and wait at least for 90 seconds.
