REMOVAL

CAUTION:

Be sure to read the precautionary notices concerning the SRS airbag system before servicing 2007 MY Land Cruiser [08/2006 -        ]; SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM: AIRBAG SYSTEM: PRECAUTION .

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION:

Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.

2. REMOVE ROOF HEADLINING ASSEMBLY

HINT:

Refer to the procedures up to "REMOVE ROOF HEADLINING ASSEMBLY" 2007 MY Land Cruiser [08/2006 -        ]; INTERIOR: ROOF HEADLINING: REMOVAL .

3. REMOVE CURTAIN SHIELD AIRBAG ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the connector.

NOTICE:

When handling the airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.

(b) Remove the 8 bolts and curtain shield airbag.
