DESCRIPTION

The seat belt buckle switch LH circuit consists of the center airbag sensor and the front seat inner belt LH (seat belt buckle switch LH). DTCs B0126/27 and B0127/27 are recorded when a malfunction is detected in the seat belt buckle switch LH circuit.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1.

CHECK WIRE HARNESS (TO GROUND)

(a) Turn the ignition switch OFF.

(b) Disconnect the negative (-) terminal cable from the battery, and wait for at least 90 seconds.

(c) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connector.

Standard resistance:

Tester Connection

Specified Condition

C25-19 (LBE+)*1 - Body ground

1 MΩ or higher

C25-2 (LBE-)*1 - Body ground

1 MΩ or higher

C25-11 (LBE+)*2 - Body ground

CHECK WIRE HARNESS (TO +B)

(a) Connect the negative (-) terminal cable to the battery, and wait for at least 2 seconds.

(b) Turn the ignition switch ON.

(c) Measure the voltage of the wire harness side connector.

Standard voltage:

CHECK FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Connect the connector of the front seat inner belt LH (seat belt buckle switch LH).

(b) Unfasten the seat belt for the driver's seat.

(c) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connector.

Standard resistance:

(a) Fasten the seat belt for the driver's seat.

(b) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connector.

5.

CHECK CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY

(a) Turn the ignition switch OFF.

(b) Disconnect the negative (-) terminal cable from the battery, and wait for at least 90 seconds.

(c) Connect the connector to the center airbag sensor.

(d) Connect the negative (-) terminal cable to the battery, and wait for at least 2 seconds.

(e) Turn the ignition switch ON, and wait for at least 10 seconds.

(f) Clear the DTC stored in memory 2007 MY Land Cruiser [08/2006 -        ]; SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM: AIRBAG SYSTEM: DTC CHECK / CLEAR .

(g) Turn the ignition switch OFF, and wait for at least 10 seconds.

(h) Turn the ignition switch ON, and wait for at least 10 seconds.

(i) Check the DTC 2007 MY Land Cruiser [08/2006 -        ]; SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM: AIRBAG SYSTEM: DTC CHECK / CLEAR .

OK:

DTC B0126/B0127/27 is not output.

CHECK FRONT SEAT WIRE LH (TO GROUND)

(a) Disconnect the front seat wire LH connector from the No. 1 floor wire.

(b) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connector.

Standard resistance:

(a) Turn the ignition switch OFF.

(b) Disconnect the negative (-) terminal cable from the battery, and wait for at least 90 seconds.

(c) Disconnect the front seat wire LH connector from the No. 1 floor wire.

(d) Connect the negative (-) terminal cable to the battery, and wait for at least 2 seconds.

(e) Turn the ignition switch ON.

(f) Measure the voltage of the wire harness side connector.
