REAR CAMERA

DESCRIPTION

The Rear View Camera assists the driver to improve the view of the area behind the vehicle upon putting the vehicle in reverse.

OPERATION

The Camera is activated only when the vehicle is in reverse (by the back up lamps power feed). It sends a video signal (std. NTSC i.e. TV) to the navigation radio which displays on the navigation screen. The screen toggles functions displaying only one kind of image at a time. And in reverse, the rear camera has priority. Momentary blank screen in transition is normal operation

REMOVAL




1. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
2. Remove the liftgate handle.
(Refer to 23 - BODY/DECKLID/HATCH/LIFTGATE/TAILGATE/EXTERIOR HANDLE - REMOVAL).


3. Remove the camera mounting bracket.
4. Remove the camera mounting fasteners.
5. Disconnect the electrical harness connector.

INSTALLATION




1. Connect the electrical harness connector.
2. Install the camera to the mounting bracket.



3. Install the camera mounting fasteners.
4. Install the liftgate handle.
(Refer to 23 - BODY/DECKLID/HATCH/LIFTGATE/TAILGATE/EXTERIOR HANDLE - INSTALLATION).
5. Connect the battery negative cable.
