P1697-EMR (SRI) MILEAGE NOT STORED

- When Monitored:
Ignition on and battery voltage greater than 10 volts.
- Set Condition:
The SRI Mileage has not been programmed into the PCM.

Always perform the Pre-Diagnostic Troubleshooting procedure before proceeding. (Refer to 9 - ENGINE - STANDARD PROCEDURE).
Diagnostic Test
1. SRI MILEAGE NOT PROGRAMMED INTO THE PCMIgnition on, engine not running.
With the scan tool, attempt to program the SRI mileage into the PCM.
With the scan tool, clear DTCs in the PCM.
Start the engine.
Allow the engine to reach normal operating temperature.
With a scan tool, select View DTCs.
Is the status Active for this DTC?
Yes
- Replace and program the Powertrain Control Module in accordance with the Service Information.
- Perform the PCM Verification Test Ver. 1 (Refer to 9 - ENGINE - STANDARD PROCEDURE).
No
- The SRI mileage has been successfully programmed into the PCM. Test is complete.
- Perform the PCM Verification Test Ver. 1 (Refer to 9 - ENGINE - STANDARD PROCEDURE).
