BEARING AND RACE-OUTPUT
REMOVAL
1. Remove screws at output bearing retainer strap (1).
2. Install Puller L-4518 (1) and remove output bearing (2).
INSTALLATION
NOTE: PROPERLY INSTALL RACE WITH TABS ON LOCK FEATURE.
1. Line up output bearing (3) to bore.
2. Insert tool Installer 8692 (2) with Handle C-4171 (1) onto output bearing. Tap bearing into bore. Verify that the larger diameter of the cage is facing outward. Position bearing retaining strap. Tighten bolts to 12 N·m (105 in. lbs.).
