REMOVAL
TIRE AND WHEEL ASSEMBLY
1. Raise and support the vehicle so that tire and wheel assembly clears ground level. (Refer to LUBRICATION & MAINTENANCE/HOISTING - STANDARD PROCEDURE)
NOTE: The following step applies to wheels that use center caps that cover the wheel mounting nuts. If the vehicle is equipped with wheels using small center caps that do not cover the wheel mounting nuts, DO NOT attempt to remove the cap from the face side of the wheel. Damage to the wheel and center cap can occur. The small center cap may be removed from the wheel by tapping it out from the rear once the wheel is removed from the vehicle.
2. If the vehicle is equipped with wheel center caps that cover the wheel mounting nuts, remove the cap with an appropriate removal tool utilizing the notch located between the wheel and the outer edge of the cap. Use care not to damage the wheel coating.

3. Remove the five wheel mounting (lug) nuts (3) from the studs.
4. Remove the tire and wheel assembly (1) from the hub.
