The lower suspension arms (3) are tubular steel and use a voided round bushing at the arm on the axle side. The body side uses a solid round bushing.
OPERATION
The bushings provide isolation from the axle. The arms mount to the
unibody frame rail bracket and the axle brackets. The arm and bushings provide
location and react to loads.
