NO PCM MESSAGES RECEIVED

- When Monitored:
When the ignition is turned on.
- Set Condition:
No PCI Bus message received for 5 seconds after the ignition is turned on. No PCI Bus message is indicated by dashes in the VF display. When valid data is received, the data will replace the dashes.

Diagnostic Test
1. DTC PRESENTWith the scan tool, erase DTCs.
Cycle the ignition and wait approximately 1 minute.
With the scan tool, read DTCs.
Did this DTC reset?
Yes
- Go To2
No
- The condition is not present at this time. Monitor scan tool parameters while wiggling the related wire harness. Refer to any Technical Service Bulletins (TSB) that may apply. Visually inspect the related wiring harness and connector terminals.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. (Refer to 8 - ELECTRICAL/ELECTRONIC CONTROL MODULES - STANDARD PROCEDURE)
2. ELECTRONIC VEHICLE INFORMATION CENTER
Turn the ignition on.
With the scan tool, enter Body Computer, System Tests, then PCM Monitor.
Does the scan tool display PCM Active on the Bus?
Yes
- Replace the EVIC in accordance with the Service Information.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. (Refer to 8 - ELECTRICAL/ELECTRONIC CONTROL MODULES - STANDARD PROCEDURE)
No
- Refer to the COMMUNICATION category and perform the appropriate symptom.
