CAUTION: Do not let tensioner arm snap back to the freearm position, severe damage may occur to the tensioner.
1. Disconnect negative battery cable from battery.
2. Rotate belt tensioner clockwise until it contacts its stop. Remove belt, then slowly rotate the tensioner into the freearm position .
2.8L DIESEL
CAUTION: Do not let tensioner arm snap back to the freearm position, severe damage may occur to the tensioner.
1. Disconnect negative battery cable.
2. Using a suitable tool, rotate accessory drive belt tensioner until holes on arm and base are aligned.
3. Insert pin into hole to lock tensioner in place.
4. Remove accessory drive belt.
