MANIFOLD-EXHAUST
REMOVAL
1. Remove the engine cover (2).
2. Remove the silencer.
3. Remove the air cleaner housing (1).
4. Disconnect the inlet temperature sensor connector.
5. Remove the inlet air tube from the turbocharger.
6. Remove the air conditioning bracket bolt.
7. Remove the bolts from the exhaust manifold heat shield.
8. Remove the exhaust manifold heat shield.
9. Disconnect the turbocharger module connector.
10. Remove the right front tire.
11. Remove the right front inner fender well.
12. Remove the bolts from the downstream flange of the turbocharger.
13. Remove the bolts from the turbocharger to engine bracket.
14. Remove the bolts from the upstream side of the muffler.
15. Remove the forward diesel particulate filter pressure tube.
16. Remove the bolts from the bottom of the maniverter.
17. Remove the diesel particulate filter.
18. Remove the turbocharger to exhaust manifold bolts.
19. Remove the turbocharger oil lines.
20. Remove the exhaust manifold.
INSTALLATION
1. Clean the exhaust manifold surface and remove all debris.
2. Install a new exhaust manifold gasket.
3. Install the exhaust manifold.
4. Torque the following the correct exhaust manifold sequence torque the exhaust manifold nuts to 35 N.m (25.8 lbs. ft.).
5. Install the turbocharger oil lines.
6. Install the turbocharger to exhaust manifold bolts.
7. Install the diesel particulate filter.
8. Install the bolts from the bottom of the maniverter.
9. Install the forward diesel particulate filter pressure tube.
10. Install the bolts from the upstream side of the muffler.
11. Install the bolts from the turbocharger to engine bracket.
12. Install the bolts from the downstream flange of the turbocharger.
13. Connect the turbocharger module connector.
14. Install the air conditioning bracket bolt.
15. Install the exhaust manifold heat shield.
16. Install the bolts from the exhaust manifold heat shield.
17. Install the inlet air tube from the turbocharger.
18. Install the air cleaner housing.
19. Install the silencer.
20. Install the engine cover.
