SOLENOID - EVAP/PURGE
REMOVAL
The EVAP canister purge solenoid (1) is located near the battery.
1. Lift the solenoid assembly from the tongue-type bracket.
2. Disconnect electrical connector (1).
3. Disconnect quick-connect fittings (2) and (3) from solenoid.
INSTALLATION
The EVAP canister purge solenoid (1) is located near the battery.
1. Connect quick-connect fittings (2) and (3) to solenoid.
2. Connect electrical connector (1).
3. Push solenoid assembly onto the tongue-type bracket.
4. The vapor/vacuum lines and hoses must be firmly connected. Also check the vapor/vacuum lines at the ESIM switch and filter for damage or leaks. If a leak is present, a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) may be set.
