DAMPER
REMOVAL
1. Place the front wheels in a straight ahead position.
2. Raise and support the vehicle.
3. Remove the steering damper retaining nut from the tie rod tube (1).
4. Remove the nut from the steering damper bolt.RHD ONLY
5. Remove the steering damper retaining nut and bolt from the axle bracket (3).
6. Remove the steering damper from the vehicle.
INSTALLATION
1. Install the steering damper (2) to the axle bracket and tie rod.
2. Install the steering damper bolt (3) in the axle bracket and tighten nut to 68 N·m (50 ft. lbs.).
3. Install the steering damper bolt (3) in the tie rod tube (1) and tighten nut to 68 N·m (50 ft. lbs.).
4. Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
