When Monitored:
With the ignition on and no other S/C Switch DTCs present.

Set Condition:
The (V71) S/C Signal 1 and (V72) S/C Signal 2 do not indicate the same S/C Switch position.
Possible Causes |

Always perform the Pre-Diagnostic Troubleshooting procedure before proceeding. (Refer to 28 - DTC-Based Diagnostics/MODULE, Powertrain Control (PCM) - Standard Procedure).
SPEED CONTROL SWITCH STATUS
| 1. | Turn the ignition on. |
| 2. | Using the scan tool, monitor the Speed Control Switch status. |
| 3. | Press each button while noting the Speed Control Switch status for both switches on the scan tool. |
Did the Speed Control Switch 1 status and Speed Control Switch 2 status match when each button is pressed?
Yes
- Perform the INTERMITTENT DTC diagnostic procedure. (Refer to 28 - DTC-Based Diagnostics/MODULE, Powertrain Control (PCM) - Standard Procedure).
No
- Replace the Speed Control Switch in accordance with the service information.
- Perform the PCM VERIFICATION TEST. (Refer to 28 - DTC-Based Diagnostics/MODULE, Powertrain Control (PCM) - Standard Procedure).
