P1619-ENGINE CRANK WITHOUT REQUEST

When Monitored:
Continuously with the ignition on.

Set Condition:
With the vehicle speed below 2 mph (3 kmh), the PCM detects that the engine speed is above 100 RPM for 0.5 second and no starter request signal has been given by the PCM or Start/Stop feature.
Possible Causes |

| (T752) STARTER RELAY CONTROL CIRCUIT SHORTED TO GROUND |
| (T750) STARTER SOLENOID OUTPUT CIRCUIT SHORTED TO VOLTAGE |
Always perform the Pre-Diagnostic Troubleshooting procedure before proceeding. (Refer to 28 - DTC-Based Diagnostics/MODULE, Powertrain Control (PCM) - Standard Procedure).
1. CHECK THE (T750) STARTER SOLENOID OUTPUT CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO VOLTAGE

| 1. | Turn the ignition off. |
| 2. | Disconnect the Totally Integrated Power Module (TIPM) C2 harness connector. |
| 3. | Turn the ignition on. |
| 4. | Measure the voltage of the (T750) Starter Solenoid Output circuit at the TIPM C2 harness connector. |
Is there any voltage present?
Yes
- Repair the (T750) Starter Solenoid Output circuit for a short to voltage.
- Perform the PCM VERIFICATION TEST. (Refer to 28 - DTC-Based Diagnostics/MODULE, Powertrain Control (PCM) - Standard Procedure).
No

Go To 2
2. CHECK THE (T752) STARTER RELAY CONTROL CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO GROUND
 |
| 1. | Turn the ignition off. |
| 2. | Disconnect the PCM C2 harness connector. |
| 3. | Measure the resistance between ground and the (T752) Starter Relay Control circuit at the TIPM C2 harness connector. |
Is the resistance above 10k Ohms?
Yes
- Repair the (T752) Starter Relay Control circuit for a short to ground.
- Perform the PCM VERIFICATION TEST. (Refer to 28 - DTC-Based Diagnostics/MODULE, Powertrain Control (PCM) - Standard Procedure).
No

Perform the INTERMITTENT DTC diagnostic procedure. (Refer to 28 - DTC-Based Diagnostics/MODULE, Powertrain Control (PCM)
- Standard Procedure).
