BODY, Air Cleaner

REMOVAL

REMOVAL

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.

    2.  
  2. Remove the engine cover (1).

    3.  
  3. Disconnect the electrical connector (3) from the Inlet Air Temperature (IAT) sensor.

    4.  
  4. Loosen the clamp (4) at the throttle body.

    5.  
  5. Disconnect the fresh air makeup hose (2) from the air cleaner body.

    6.  
  6. Disengage the coolant hose from the two retainers (6) .

    7.  
  7. Remove the two bolts (5) from the air inlet hose.

    8.  
  8. Disengage the air inlet hose from the throttle body and pull the air cleaner body (1) straight up off of the three locating pins.

INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION

  1. Install the air cleaner body (1) straight down on the three locating pins while engaging the air inlet hose to the throttle body.

    2.  
  2. Install the two bolts (5) to the air inlet hose and tighten to 4.5 N·m (40 in. lbs.).

  3. Engage the coolant hose to the two retainers (6) .

  4. Install the fresh air makeup hose (2) to the air cleaner body.

  5. Tighten the clamp (4) at the throttle body to 4 N·m (35 in. lbs.).

  6. Connect the electrical connector (3) to the Inlet Air Temperature (IAT) sensor.

  7. Install the engine cover (1).

    8.  
  8. Connect the negative battery cable and tighten nut to 5 N·m (45 in. lbs.).
