LATCH, Door

REMOVAL

REMOVAL

  1. Remove the door trim panel (2), (Refer to 23 - Body/Door - Front/PANEL, Door Trim - Removal) .

  2. Remove the latch nut (2) and latch screws (4).

  3. Disconnect the latch rods (5) and electrical connector (3) and remove the latch.

INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION

  1. Install the latch screws (4) and tighten to 8 N·m (71 in. lbs.) top screws first.

  2. Install the outside door handle nut (2) through the hole in the inner door and tighten to 4.5 N·m (40 in. lbs.).

  3. Connect the electrical connector (3).

  4. Connect the rods (5) and seat the clips fully.

  5. Install the trim panel (2), (Refer to 23 - Body/Door - Front/PANEL, Door Trim - Installation) .
