TUBE, Water Inlet

REMOVAL

REMOVAL

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

    2.  
  2. Remove the thermostat assembly (2) (Refer to 07 - Cooling/Engine/THERMOSTAT - Removal) .

  3. Remove the lower oil cooler supply hose (4) located below the water inlet tube (5).

  4. Remove the water inlet tube mounting bolts (1).

    5.  
  5. Remove the water inlet tube from the backside of the water pump and discard O-ring seal.

INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION

  1. Install new O-ring seal onto the water tube elbow.

    2.  
  2. Lubricate the O-ring seal with coolant to help aid in installation. Install elbow into the back side of the waterpump.

    3.  
  3. Install the mounting bolts (1). Tighten the water pump bolts (1) to 12 N·m (106 in. lbs.).

  4. Install the oil cooler hose (4).


    5.  
  5. Install the thermostat housing (4) (Refer to 07 - Cooling/Engine/THERMOSTAT - Installation) .

  6. Connect the negative battery cable.
