TUBE, Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR)

REMOVAL

REMOVAL

  1. Remove the front lower splash shield.

    2.  
  2. Drain the cooling system (Refer to 07 - Cooling - Standard Procedure) .

    3.  
  3. Remove the coolant recovery bottle (Refer to 07 - Cooling/Engine/BOTTLE, Coolant Recovery - Removal) .

    4.  
  4. Remove bolts (1 and 3) and the EGR tube (2).

    5.  
  5. Remove and discard gaskets.

INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION

  1. Clean all gasket sealing areas.

    2.  
  2. Install a new O-ring gasket (1) onto intake manifold (2).

    3.  
  3. Using a new lower gasket, install the EGR tube (2) and the bolts finger tight.

    • Tighten bolts (3) to 25 N·m (18 ft. lbs.).
    • Tighten bolts (1) to 11 N·m (97 in. lbs.).

  4. Install the coolant recovery bottle (Refer to 07 - Cooling/Engine/BOTTLE, Coolant Recovery - Installation) .

  5. Fill the cooling system (Refer to 07 - Cooling - Standard Procedure) .

  6. Install the front lower splash shield.
