Soft Top

Wrangler’s Soft Top features the same construction as before and attaches and installs similar to the 2006 models. A storage bag for the plastic windows is available through MOPAR® for added convenience.

Sun Rider Soft Top

The Sun Rider Soft Top features the same construction as before and attaches and installs similar to the 2006 models. For added convenience, MOPAR® offers a storage bag for the removable plastic windows. The Sun Rider Top can be half or fully open. Wrangler Unlimited’s soft-top opening extends above the rear seat occupants. The approximate dimensions of the open space for the Sun Rider Tops are as follows:

• Wrangler (two-door) 55 in. (1397 mm) wide by 30 in. (762 mm) long and opens above the first row only
• Wrangler Unlimited (four-door): 55 in. (1397 mm) wide by 60 in. (1524 mm) long and opens above first and second row occupants

REMOVAL

Two Door

1. Separate the quarter windows hook and loop strips from the soft top and unzip the quarter windows.

 
2. Separate the quarter window sides (2) from the side rail retainers (1) and the door frame and remove the quarter window.
   
   

 
3. Unzip the rear window (2) and release window retainer from the rear tailgate retainer (3).
   
   

 
4. Release the front latches (1) from the windshield frame loops (2).
   
   

 
5. Release the soft top retainers (2) from the upper side and lower rear rail retainers (1).
   
   

 
6. Fold the top into the down position.

 
7. Remove the pivot bracket bolts (3) from the pivot knuckles (1).
   
   

 
8. separate the knuckles (2) from the pivot brackets.

 
9. Remove the soft top (1) from the vehicle.
   

 

Four Door

1. Separate the quarter windows hook and loop strips from the soft top and unzip the quarter windows.

 
2. Separate the quarter window sides (2) from the side rail retainers (1) and the door frame and remove the quarter window.

 
3. Unzip the rear window and release window retainer (2) from the rear tailgate retainer (1).
   
   

 
4. Unzip the rear window (2) and release window retainer from the rear tailgate retainer (3).
   
   

 
5. Release the front latches (1) from the windshield frame loops (2).
   
   

 
6. Release the soft top retainers (2) from the upper side and lower rear rail retainers (1).
   
   

 
7. Fold the top into the down position.

 
8. Remove the pivot bracket bolts (1) from the pivot knuckles (3) and separate the knuckles from the pivot bracket (2).

9. Remove the soft top (5) from the vehicle.
   

 

INSTALLATION

Two Door

1. Position the soft top (1) onto the vehicle with the knuckles (2) positioned to attach to the knuckle brackets.
   
   

 
2. Position the knuckles (1) onto the knuckle bracket (2) and install the bolts (3).
   
   

 
3. Fold the top up and secure the latches (1) to the windshield frame loops (2).
   
   

 
4. Secure the soft top retainers (2) for the upper side and lower rear rails (1).
   
   

 
5. Zip the rear window (2) onto the soft top (1) and secure to the rail retainer (3).
   
   

 
6. Zip the quarter windows onto the soft top and secure the window retainers (2) to the lower rails (1) and the door frames.

 
7. Secure the quarter window hook and loop strips to the soft top.
   

 

Four Door

1. Install the soft top (5) onto the vehicle.
   
   

 
2. Position the knuckles (3) onto the knuckle bracket (2) and install the bolts (1).
   
   

 
3. Unfold the top up and secure the latches (1) to the windshield frame loops (2).
   
   

 
4. Secure the soft top retainers (2) for the upper side and lower rear rails (1).
   
   

 
5. Zip the rear window (2) onto the soft top (1) and secure to the rail retainer (3).
   
   

 
6. Zip the quarter windows onto the soft top and secure the window retainers (2) to the lower rails (1) and the door frames.

 
7. Secure the quarter window hook and loop strips to the soft top.
