C2100-BATTERY VOLTAGE LOW

When Monitored:
With the ignition on.
Set Condition:
If the Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) Module detects system voltage is below 9.5 Volts.

Possible Causes
POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE (PCM) DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCs) PRESENT
VEHICLE BATTERY / CHARGING SYSTEM
ANTI-LOCK BRAKES SYSTEM (ABS) MODULE

1. DTCS IN THE PCM

NOTE: This DTC must be active for the results of this test to be valid.

1.	Turn the ignition on.

2.	Using the scan tool, read and record DTCs from the PCM.

3.	Using the scan tool, read and record Environmental Data to help identify the conditions in which the DTC was set.

4.	Using the scan tool, erase DTCs.

5.	Start the engine.

6.	Using the scan tool, read and record DTCs.

7.	With the scan tool read DTCs from the PCM.

Are any charging system codes present?

Yes

2. CHARGING SYSTEM FAILURE

1.	Start the engine.

2.	Connect Voltmeter to vehicle battery.

Is the vehicle battery voltage under 8.02 volts?

No

Yes

Repair the charging system in accordance with the Service Information.
Perform the ABS VERIFICATION TEST. (Refer to 28 - DTC-Based Diagnostics/MODULE, Antilock Brake (ABS) - Standard Procedure).
