P2229-BAROMETRIC PRESSURE SENSOR CIRCUIT HIGH

When Monitored:
With the ignition on.

Set Condition:
The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) detects that the Barometric Pressure Sensor circuit voltage is at 5.0 Volts for 0.8 second. The Barometric Pressure Sensor is located internal to the PCM.

Always perform the Pre-Diagnostic Troubleshooting procedure before proceeding. (Refer to 28 - DTC-Based Diagnostics/MODULE, Powertrain Control (PCM) - Standard Procedure).
DTC IS ACTIVE
| 1. | Ignition on, engine not running. |
| 2. | With the scan tool, select View DTCs. |
Is the status Active for this DTC?
Yes
- Replace the Powertrain Control Module in accordance with the service Information.
- Perform the PCM VERIFICATION TEST. (Refer to 28 - DTC-Based Diagnostics/MODULE, Powertrain Control (PCM) - Standard Procedure).
No
- Perform the INTERMITTENT DTC diagnostic procedure. (Refer to 28 - DTC-Based Diagnostics/MODULE, Powertrain Control (PCM) - Standard Procedure).
