B1A27-SKREEM PROGRAMMING PERFORMANCE

When Monitored:
With the ignition on.

Possible Causes
WIRELESS CONTROL MODULE (WCM)/SENTRY KEY REMOTE ENTRY MODULE (SKREEM)

VERIFY THAT THE DTC IS ACTIVE

1.	Turn the ignition on.

NOTE: Before continuing, review and check for the following:

Review the repair history of the vehicle.

Ensure that the vehicle has the correct PCM and WCM/SKREEM installed by verifying the part numbers.

With the scan tool, ensure that the PCM and WCM/SKREEM are programmed correctly. Compare the PCM VIN to the WCM/SKREEM VIN and ensure the two VINs match.

NOTE:
IF DTC B1A27 is presently set as an active fault; and was not active or stored before reprogramming one or more of the original Keys / FOBIKs, verify the following information.

Verify that the reprogramming was done to the original WIN or a new replacement WIN and all of the vehicle Keys / FOBIKs function correctly. Once all of this has been verified, and if the B1A27 DTC remains ACTIVE, the ACTIVE status is no longer valid.

NOTE:
The DTC may be cleared by either an ECU reset, battery disconnect or by removing and replacing the WIN fuse. Clear the faults and verify the B1A27 fault then does not appear.

2.	With the scan tool, clear DTCs.

3.	Perform 5 ignition cycles, leaving the ignition switch on for a minimum of 90 seconds per cycle.

4.	With the scan tool, read DTCs.

Does the DTC reset?

Yes

Replace and program the Wireless Control Module (WCM)/Sentry Key Remote Entry Module (SKREEM) in accordance with the Service Information.

NOTE: If this vehicle is equipped with a Steering Column Lock Module, it must be replaced along with the WCM/SKREEM.
Perform the WCM VERIFICATION TEST. (Refer to 28 - DTC-Based Diagnostics/MODULE, Wireless Control (WCM) - Standard Procedure)

The DTC is not active at this time. Test complete.
