PUMP, Engine Oil

REMOVAL

NOTE:

The oil pump is not a serviceable part. If oil pump failure has occurred or diagnosis has led you to replace the oil pump, then the front cover will have to be replaced.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

  2. Remove the front cover (Refer to 09 - Engine/Engine Block/COVER, Engine - Removal) .

INSTALLATION

  1. Clean the gasket surfaces and sealing areas.

  2. Lubricate oil pump rotor with engine oil.

  3. Install front cover assembly (Refer to 09 - Engine/Engine Block/COVER, Engine - Installation) .
