SEPARATOR, Oil

REMOVAL

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

  2. Remove the four nuts and the engine cover (2).

    3.  
  3. Remove the cylinder head cover (Refer to 09 - Engine/Cylinder Head/COVER(S) , Cylinder Head/Removal) .

  4. Remove the oil separator cover (2).

    5.  
  5. Remove the diaphragm (1) and the diaphragm spring (2).

    6.  

INSTALLATION

  1. Inspect the oil drain back access hole (1) in the cylinder head cover to assure that it is free of obstruction.

  2. Lubricate the oil separator O-rings with clean engine oil.

    3.  
  3. Carefully position and push down on the oil separator to seat.


    4.  
  4. Install the diaphragm spring (2) and the diaphragm (1).

    5.  
  5. Carefully position and push down on the oil separator cover (2) to seat.

    6.  
  6. Install the cylinder head cover (Refer to 09 - Engine/Cylinder Head/COVER(S) , Cylinder Head/Installation) .

  7. Install the engine cover (2) and securely the four nuts.

  8. Connect the negative battery cable.
