REMOVAL

NOTE:

Most shift knobs can be remove by hand. The motion should mimic that of a slide hammer. Constant force doesn't aid in the removal of the knob.


  1. Slide the shift lever (4) back towards the seat and pull the shift knob (3) in an upward motion with a "quick" snap to remove.

  2. If removal of the shift knob (3) by hand is not possible wrap a shop towel (4) or equivalent around the base of the shift knob (3) and using puller C-4333A-1 or equivalent (2) and slide hammer (1), remove the shift knob (3) from the shift lever.

INSTALLATION

  1. Install the shift knob (3) onto the shift lever (4) and firmly push the shift knob (3) down a audible click should be heard when the shift knob (3) is seated in position.
