BACKLITE

REMOVAL

  1. Disconnect the rear wiper motor electrical connectors (3).

  2. Disconnect the washer hose (4).

  3. Disconnect the rear window heater grid connector (2).

    4.  
  4. Remove the glass supports (2), (Refer to 23 - Body/Decklid/Hatch/Liftgate/Tailgate/PROP, Gas - Removal) .

  5. Using a trim stick C-4755 or equivalent, open the hinge trim covers (2).

    6.  
  6. Remove the bolts (3) and remove the backlite (1).

INSTALLATION

  1. Position the backlite glass onto the hard top and install the bolts (3).

    2.  
  2. Tighten the bolts to 10 N·m (90 in. lbs.).

  3. Position the trim covers (2) back onto the hinges and seat fully.

    4.  
  4. Install the glass support cylinders (2), (Refer to 23 - Body/Decklid/Hatch/Liftgate/Tailgate/PROP, Gas - Installation) .

  5. Connect the heated glass electrical connector (2).

    6.  
  6. Connect the rear wiper motor electrical connector (3).

    7.  
  7. Connect the washer hose (4).

    8.
