	6958 - Wrench, Spanner Originally Shipped In Kit Number(s) 6947, 6949, 6966, 8204, 8204CC, 8667.
	C-452 - Puller, Companion Flange

1. Shift transfer case into NEUTRAL.

 
2. Raise vehicle.

 
3. Remove front propeller shaft. (Refer to 03 - Differential and Driveline/Propeller Shaft/SHAFT, Drive - Removal)

 
4. Using Spanner Wrench 6958 (2) , remove yoke nut. Discard nut after removal. It is not reusable.
   
   

 
5. Remove yoke (2) from output shaft. Use puller C-452 if flange can not be removed by hand.
   
   

 
6. Remove yoke rubber seal (1) from front output shaft.

 
7. Remove front output shaft seal with suitable pry tool, or a slide hammer mounted screw.
   

 

INSTALLATION

	9041 - Installer, Seal Originally Shipped In Kit Number(s) 8847, 8850, 8850CC, 8853, 8854, 8854CC.
	C-4171 - Driver Handle, Universal Originally Shipped In Kit Number(s) 9202, 9202A-CAN, 9202CC, 9299, 9299CC, 9299CC, 9300A-CAN.
	6958 - Wrench, Spanner Originally Shipped In Kit Number(s) 6947, 6949, 6966, 8204, 8204CC, 8667.

1. Install new front output seal in front case with Seal Installer 9041 (2) and Universal Handle C-4171 (1) .
   
   

 
2. Install yoke seal (2) on front output shaft (1) .
   
   

 
3. Install yoke (2) on front output shaft. Install a new yoke nut onto the front output shaft.
   
   

 
4. Using Spanner Wrench 6958 (2) , tighten the yoke nut to 176-271 N·m (130-200 ft. lbs.) torque.

 
5. Install propeller shaft. (Refer to 03 - Differential and Driveline/Propeller Shaft/SHAFT, Drive - Installation)
