INTRUSION SENSOR > REMOVAL

1. REMOVE MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY

  1. Open the overhead console.

  1. Disengage the 4 clips and 3 guides as shown in the illustration.

  1. Disconnect the connector and remove the map light assembly.



2. REMOVE INTRUSION SENSOR (THEFT WARNING ULTRASONIC SENSOR) (w/o Sliding Roof)

NOTICE:
When replaced the intrusion sensor (theft warning ultrasonic sensor), eliminate static electricity by touching the vehicle body to prevent components from being damaged.



  1. w/ Microphone:

    1. Peel back the tape used to secure the cord only to the extent that allows removal of the cord.

      HINT:
      Tape is not available as a supply part. Try to leave as much tape as possible on the map light assembly so that the tape can be reused.

    2. Disconnect the connector and disengage the clamp.

  1. Remove the 2 screws and disconnect the connector.

  1. Disengage the 2 clamps.

  1. Remove the 7 screws and cover.

  1. Remove the board.

  1. Remove the 4 screws and intrusion sensor (theft warning ultrasonic sensor) from the base.

  1. Remove the 2 screws and disconnect the connector.
