INSTALLATION

Removal / installation

NOTICE:
  1. As much as possible avoid touching the stroke portions of the rod to prevent foreign matter from attaching to it. Be sure to hold the cylinders while servicing.
  2. Do not wear cotton gloves or other similar materials when handling the rod. Fibers may attach to the rod and result in gas leaks.
  3. Do not apply any load to the cylinders in the horizontal direction in order to prevent the rod from being deformed.

HINT:
  1. Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
  2. The procedures listed below are for the LH side.


1. INSTALL HOOD SUPPORT ASSEMBLY

  1. When a new hood support assembly is used:

    1. Install a new hood support assembly.

      NOTICE:
      1. Install the hood support assembly while supporting the hood with hand.
      2. Check that the hood support assembly is engaged in the ball joint and it cannot be pulled out.

  1. When the removed hood support assembly is reused:

    1. B125179
      Install the hood support assembly with the 3 bolts.

      Torque:
      22 N*m{ 224 kgf*cm , 16 ft.*lbf }

      NOTICE:
      1. Install the hood support assembly while supporting the hood with hand.
      2. Check that the hood support assembly is engaged in the ball joint and it cannot be pulled out.


2. INSTALL FRONT UPPER FENDER PROTECTOR

  1. E119591
    Engage the claw and the 3 clips, then install the front upper fender protector LH.

  1. Engage the clip on the rubber portion of the cowl top ventilator louver sub-assembly to the front fender protector upper LH.


3. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER

  1. A123702E01
    Install the side cover with the 5 clips.


4. INSTALL COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL

  1. A127530
    Install the intake duct seal with the 11 clips.
