Slip Indicator Light does not Come ON
Circuit diagnosis
DESCRIPTION
The skid control ECU is connected to the combination meter via CAN and multiplex communications.The SLIP indicator blinks during VSC and/or TRC operation.
When the system fails, the SLIP indicator comes on to warn the driver (Click here).
The SLIP indicator comes on when traction control is terminated by pressing the traction OFF switch.

- NOTICE:
- When replacing the brake actuator assembly, perform zero point calibration (Click here).

Check if the CAN communication system DTC is output (Click here for LHD, or Click here for RHD).

| 3. CHECK SLIP INDICATOR LIGHT |
Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.
Start the engine.
Select the "Slip Indicator Lamp" in the Active Test and operate the SLIP indicator light by the intelligent tester.

Turn SLIP indicator light ON / OFF
Observe combination meter
Check that "ON" and "OFF" of the SLIP indicator light are indicated on the combination meter when using the intelligent tester.
- OK:
- The SLIP indicator light turns on or off in accordance with the intelligent tester.
- HINT:
- If troubleshooting has been carried out according to the Problem Symptoms Table, refer back to the table and proceed to the next step before replacing the part (Click here).

| 4. INSPECT COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY |
Turn the engine switch off.
Perform Active Test of the combination meter (meter CPU) using the intelligent tester (Click here).
- OK:
- The SLIP indicator light turns on or off in accordance with the intelligent tester.
- HINT:
- If troubleshooting has been carried out according to the Problem Symptoms Table, refer back to the table and proceed to the next step (Click here).
