Reverse Signal Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The television camera ECU receives a reverse signal from the park/neutral position switch (A/T) or back-up light switch (M/T).

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

1. CHECK BACK-UP LIGHT

1. Move the shift lever to the R position and check if the back-up light comes on.

   OK:

   The back-up light comes on.
   

2. Move the shift lever to the position other than R and check if the back-up light does not come on.

   OK:

   The back-up light does not come on.
   

NG	GO TO LIGHTING SYSTEM

OK

2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR

1. Disconnect the television camera ECU connector J92 and park/neutral position SW (A/T) or back-up light SW (M/T) connector.

2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard resistance:

   Tester connection	Condition	Specified condition
   J92-3 (REV) - E45-1 (A/T)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   J92-3 (REV) - E55-1 (M/T)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   J92-3 (REV) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher
