Diagnostic trouble codes

DESCRIPTION

The No. 1 ultrasonic sensor (front right sensor) is installed on the front bumper.
The clearance warning ECU detects obstacles based on signals received from the front right sensor. If the front right sensor's circuit has an open, short or other malfunction, it will not function normally.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE


1. INSPECT NO. 1 ULTRASONIC SENSOR

  1. E111617E01
    Remove the ultrasonic sensor.

  1. Measure the resistance of the sensor.

    Standard resistance:
    Tester Connection
    		 Condition
    		 Specified Condition
    S (D1-2) - E (D1-1)
    		 Always
    		 600 to 1,200 kΩ

    NOTICE:
    1. Set the tester to the 100 kΩ range before performing the measurement.

REPLACE NO. 1 ULTRASONIC SENSOR (FRONT RIGHT SENSOR)

2. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (CLEARANCE WARNING ECU - ULTRASONIC SENSOR)

  1. Disconnect the Q37 ECU connector.

  1. Disconnect the D1 sensor connector.

  1. Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.

    Standard resistance:
    Tester Connection
    		 Condition
    		 Specified Condition
    S1 (Q37-5) - S (D1-2)
    		 Always
    		 Below 1 Ω
    E1 (Q37-18) - E (D1-1)
    		 Always
    		 Below 1 Ω
    S1 (Q37-5) - Body ground
    		 Always
    		 10 kΩ or higher
    E1 (Q37-18) - Body ground
    		 Always
    		 10 kΩ or higher

REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK

REPLACE CLEARANCE WARNING ECU
