REMOVAL

1. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH EXTERIOR PANELS / TRIM: RADIATOR GRILLE: REMOVAL (2008 LX570)+

2. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER RH EXTERIOR PANELS / TRIM: RADIATOR GRILLE: REMOVAL (2008 LX570)+

3. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SEAL EXTERIOR PANELS / TRIM: RADIATOR GRILLE: REMOVAL (2008 LX570)+

4. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 3UR-FE ENGINE MECHANICAL: ENGINE ASSEMBLY: REMOVAL (2008 LX570)+

5. REMOVE FRONT FENDER SPLASH SHIELD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH EXTERIOR PANELS / TRIM: FRONT BUMPER: REMOVAL (2008 LX570)+

6. REMOVE FRONT FENDER SPLASH SHIELD SUB-ASSEMBLY RH EXTERIOR PANELS / TRIM: FRONT BUMPER: REMOVAL (2008 LX570)+

7. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 3UR-FE INTAKE / EXHAUST: EXHAUST MANIFOLD: REMOVAL (2008 LX570)+

8. REMOVE FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT

(a) While turning the belt tensioner counterclockwise, align the service hole for the belt tensioner and the belt tensioner fixing position, and then insert a bar of φ5 mm (0.197 in.) into the service hole to fix the belt tensioner in place.

HINT:

The pulley bolt for the belt tensioner has a left-hand thread.

(b) Remove the V belt.
