REMOVAL
CAUTION:
-
Wear protective gloves when removing the exhaust pipe.
-
The exhaust pipe is extremely hot immediately after the engine has stopped.
-
Confirm that the exhaust pipe has cooled down before removing it.
1. REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE UNDER COVER
2. REMOVE TAILPIPE ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the bolt, clamp and gasket.
(b) Remove the tailpipe from the 2 exhaust pipe supports.
(c) Remove the bolt and clamp, and then disconnect the tailpipe from the center exhaust pipe.
3. REMOVE EXHAUST PIPE DAMPER

(a) Remove the 2 bolts and exhaust pipe damper from the tailpipe.

4. REMOVE CENTER EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the 4 bolts and 2 compression springs.
(b) Remove the center exhaust pipe from the 3 exhaust pipe supports.
(c) Remove the 2 gaskets from the front exhaust pipe and front No. 2 exhaust pipe.
5. REMOVE FRONT NO. 2 EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY
(a) Disconnect the air fuel ratio sensor connector and detach the wire harness clamp from the bracket.
(b) Disconnect the heated oxygen sensor connector.
(c) Remove the bolt and disconnect the wire harness clamp bracket of the heated oxygen sensor from the transmission.
(d) Remove the 3 nuts, front No. 2 exhaust pipe and gasket from the exhaust manifold LH.
6. REMOVE FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY
(a) Disconnect the air fuel ratio sensor connector and detach the wire harness clamp from the bracket.
(b) Disconnect the heated oxygen sensor connector.
(c) Remove the bolt and disconnect the wire harness clamp bracket of the heated oxygen sensor from the transmission.
(d) Remove the 3 nuts, front exhaust pipe and gasket from the exhaust manifold RH.
7. REMOVE AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR (for Bank 1 Sensor 1)
8. REMOVE AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR (for Bank 2 Sensor 1)
9. REMOVE NO. 2 HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR (for Bank 1 Sensor 2)
10. REMOVE HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR (for Bank 2 Sensor 2)
