Rear Right Center Sensor Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

The No. 3 ultrasonic sensor RH is installed on the rear bumper. The ECU detects obstacles based on signals received from the No. 3 ultrasonic sensor RH. If the No. 3 ultrasonic sensor RH has an open circuit or other malfunction, it will not function normally.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:

If the DTC is output after repairs, turn the engine switch on (IG) and move the shift lever to R. Then clear the DTC.

CHECK FOR DTC

(a) Clear the DTCs PARK ASSIST / MONITORING: INTUITIVE PARKING ASSIST SYSTEM: DTC CHECK / CLEAR (2008 LX570) .

(b) Check for DTCs PARK ASSIST / MONITORING: INTUITIVE PARKING ASSIST SYSTEM: DTC CHECK / CLEAR (2008 LX570) .

REPLACE NO. 3 ULTRASONIC SENSOR RH

(a) Replace the No. 3 ultrasonic sensor RH with a normally functioning sensor PARK ASSIST / MONITORING: ULTRASONIC SENSOR (for Rear): REMOVAL (2008 LX570) .
