REMOVAL

1. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH EXTERIOR PANELS / TRIM: RADIATOR GRILLE: REMOVAL (2008 LX570)+

2. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER RH EXTERIOR PANELS / TRIM: RADIATOR GRILLE: REMOVAL (2008 LX570)+

3. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SEAL EXTERIOR PANELS / TRIM: RADIATOR GRILLE: REMOVAL (2008 LX570)+

4. REMOVE FRONT FENDER MAIN SEAL LH

(a) Using a screwdriver, detach the 3 clips and remove the fender main seal.

HINT:

Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

5. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE ASSEMBLY EXTERIOR PANELS / TRIM: RADIATOR GRILLE: REMOVAL (2008 LX570)+

6. REMOVE MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR ASSEMBLY (w/ Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System) CRUISE CONTROL: MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR: REMOVAL (2008 LX570)+

7. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE COVER

(a) Remove the 3 screws.

(b) Detach the claw and remove the cable cover.

8. REMOVE HOOD LOCK NUT CAP

(a) Using a screwdriver, remove the hood lock nut cap as shown in the illustration.

HINT:

Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

9. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the 2 bolts and nut.

(b) Remove the hood lock.

(c) Disconnect the connector.

(d) Disconnect the hood lock control cable.

10. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Detach the 2 claws.

(b) Disconnect the hood lock control cable and remove the hood lock lever.

11. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY



(a) Using a screwdriver, disconnect the clamps shown in the illustration.

HINT:

Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

(b) Pull the cable from the engine room and remove it.
