INSTALLATION

HINT:

  • Use the same procedures for the LH side and RH side.
  • The procedures listed below are for the LH side.

1. INSTALL CURTAIN SHIELD AIRBAG ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the curtain shield airbag with the 13 bolts.

Torque: 10 N·m (102 kgf·cm, 7 ft·lbf)

NOTICE:

Do not twist the curtain shield airbag when installing it.

(b) After installing the bolts, put the curtain shield airbag onto the bracket and close the lock fastener.

(c) Connect the connector.

NOTICE:

When handling the airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.

2. INSTALL ROOF HEADLINING ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the roof headlining assembly INTERIOR PANELS / TRIM: ROOF HEADLINING: INSTALLATION (2008 LX570) .

3. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

NOTICE:

When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected INTRODUCTION: REPAIR INSTRUCTION: INITIALIZATION (2008 LX570) .

4. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH EXTERIOR PANELS / TRIM: RADIATOR GRILLE: INSTALLATION (2008 LX570)+

5. CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT

(a) Check the SRS warning light SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEMS: AIRBAG SYSTEM: DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM (2008 LX570) .
