DISASSEMBLY

CAUTION:

Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the parts may injure your hands.

HINT:

  • Use the same procedures for the LH side and RH side.
  • The procedures listed below are for the LH side.

1. REMOVE NO. 2 SEAT CUSHION COVER



(a) Remove the screw and detach the 2 claws to remove the cover.

2. REMOVE FOLD SEAT CONTROL ECU



(a) Disconnect the connector.

(b) Detach the claw and remove the ECU.

3. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 SEAT LEG BRACKET REAR LH



(a) Detach the 4 clamps.

(b) Remove the bolt, nut and bracket.

4. REMOVE SEAT ADJUSTER BOLT COVER



(a) Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws and remove the cover.

HINT:

Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

5. REMOVE NO. 2 RECLINING ADJUSTER RELEASE HANDLE LH



(a) Remove the screw and release handle.

6. REMOVE REAR SEAT REAR BRACKET COVER LH

(a) Detach the 2 claws and remove the cover.

7. REMOVE REAR NO. 3 SEAT LEG COVER LH

(a) Using a screwdriver, remove the spring of the seat stay ball joint.

(b) Disconnect the seat stay.

(c) Remove the 2 screws and seat leg cover.

8. REMOVE NO. 2 SEAT LEG COVER NO. 2

(a) Remove the screw and cover.

9. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER COVER LH



(a) Remove the screw.

(b) Detach the 3 claws in the order shown in the illustration, and remove the cover.

10. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER COVER RH



(a) Remove the screw.

(b) Detach the 5 claws in the order shown in the illustration, and then remove the cover.

11. REMOVE REAR SEAT INNER RECLINING COVER LH



(a) Detach the 2 claws and remove the cover.

12. REMOVE 3RD SEAT LINK SUB-ASSEMBLY LH



(a) Remove the bolt, nut and seat link.

13. REMOVE 3RD SEAT CUSHION LOCK COVER



(a) Detach the 4 claws and remove the 2 covers.

14. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION UNDER COVER LH

(a) Detach the 16 claws.

(b) Remove the 8 screws and cover.

15. REMOVE NO. 3 SEAT FRONT BRACKET COVER LH



(a) Detach the 4 claws and remove the cover.

16. REMOVE NO. 3 SEAT LEG COVER NO. 2



(a) Remove the 2 screws.

(b) Detach the 4 claws and remove the cover.

17. REMOVE REAR SEAT LOCK COVER LH



(a) Remove the 2 screws.

(b) Detach the 2 clamps and remove the 2 covers.

18. REMOVE REAR SEAT INNER BELT SUB-ASSEMBLY (for LH Side) SEAT BELT: REAR NO. 2 SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY: REMOVAL (2008 LX570)+

19. REMOVE REAR SEAT OUTER BELT SUB-ASSEMBLY (for RH Side) SEAT BELT: REAR NO. 2 SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY: REMOVAL (2008 LX570)+

20. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 SEAT INNER BELT SUB-ASSEMBLY SEAT BELT: REAR NO. 2 SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY: REMOVAL (2008 LX570)+

21. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION CARPET



(a) Cut off the tack pins which fasten the seat cushion carpet to the seat cushion pad, and then remove the seat cushion carpet from the seat cushion pad.

22. REMOVE SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD

23. REMOVE NO. 3 SEAT CUSHION PAD LH

24. REMOVE NO. 3 SEAT CUSHION COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Remove the E-ring and detach the clamp.

(b) Detach the cable clamp and disconnect the cable.

(c) Detach the 4 clamps.

(d) Disconnect the 3 connectors.

(e) Remove the 2 cable ties.

(f) Remove the hog rings and seat cushion cover.

25. REMOVE NO. 2 SEAT STAY SUB-ASSEMBLY



(a) Remove the bolt and seat stay.

26. REMOVE NO. 3 FOLD SEAT LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY

(a) Detach the 2 cable clamps and disconnect the 2 cables.

(b) Detach the 2 clamps and remove the 2 bolts and control cable.

27. REMOVE REAR SEAT LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY LH



(a) Remove the 2 bolts and lever.

28. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 SEATBACK CUSHION



(a) Remove the screw and seatback cushion.

29. REMOVE REAR LOWER SEATBACK LOCK BEZEL



(a) Detach the 3 claws and clip, and remove the seatback lock bezel.

30. REMOVE REAR SEAT HINGE PAWL GUIDE



(a) Detach the 5 claws and remove the guide.

31. REMOVE REAR SEAT HINGE PAWL GUIDE



(a) Remove the screw and guide.

32. REMOVE SEATBACK COVER WITH PAD



(a) Open the fastener.

(b) Detach the 2 hooks.

(c) Pull out the center headrest storage bag.

(d) Remove the rear seat protector.

(e) Detach the cable clamp and disconnect the cable.

(f) Detach the clamp.

(g) for LH Side:

(1) While releasing the lock inside the headrest support with a screwdriver, remove the headrest.

HINT:

Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

(2) Detach the 8 claws and remove the 4 headrest supports.

(h) for RH Side:

(1) While releasing the lock inside the headrest support with a screwdriver, remove the headrest.

HINT:

Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

(2) Detach the 4 claws and remove the 2 headrest supports.

(i) Remove the hog ring and seatback cover with pad.

33. REMOVE REAR SEAT HEADREST HANDLE



(a) Remove the snap ring and headrest handle.

34. REMOVE NO. 3 SEATBACK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY LH



(a) Remove the hog rings and seatback cover.

35. REMOVE REAR INNER SEAT RECLINING COVER LH



(a) Remove the screw.

(b) Detach the claw and remove the cover.

36. REMOVE REAR INNER SEAT RECLINING COVER RH

(a) Remove the screw.

(b) Detach the claw and remove the cover.

37. REMOVE REAR SEAT LOCK CONTROL CABLE



(a) Detach the cable clamp and disconnect the cable.

(b) Detach the 2 clamps and remove the lock control cable.

38. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 SEAT WIRE LH



(a) Disconnect the 5 connectors and detach the 4 clamps, and then remove the rear No. 2 seat wire LH.

39. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK LOCK STRIKER ASSEMBLY LH



(a) Remove the 2 nuts and lock striker.

40. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 SEATBACK COVER LH

(a) Detach the 3 claws and remove the cover.

41. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK LOCK STRIKER COVER LH

(a) Detach the 2 clamps and remove the cover.

42. REMOVE NO. 2 SEAT RECLINING RELEASE HANDLE SUB-ASSEMBLY



(a) Remove the bolt and release handle.
