REMOVAL
CAUTION:
Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the parts may injure your hands.
HINT:

Use the same procedures for the LH side and RH side.

The procedures listed below are for the LH side.
1. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH
2. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH
(a) Remove the front seat assembly
.
3. REMOVE SLIDE AND VERTICAL POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB
4. REMOVE RECLINING POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB
5. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH
6. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH
7. REMOVE FRONT INNER SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH
8. REMOVE FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH LH
9. REMOVE SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD
10. REMOVE FRONT SEPARATE TYPE SEAT CUSHION COVER
11. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION HEATER ASSEMBLY LH
NOTICE:
-
As the front passenger side seat has an occupant classification system, its front seat cushion cannot be disassembled.
-
If replacing the front passenger side seat, replace the No. 1 seat cushion assembly (cushion set, occupant detection sensor, occupant classification ECU and 2 nuts).

When the No. 1 seat cushion assembly (cushion set, occupant detection sensor, occupant classification ECU and 2 nuts) is replaced, the previous ECU data must be saved in the Techstream and loaded into the new ECU
.

After replacing the No. 1 seat cushion assembly (cushion set, occupant detection sensor, occupant classification ECU and 2 nuts), if there is a malfunction in the occupant classification system, perform zero point calibration and the sensitivity check
.

(a) Cut off the tack pins which fasten the seat heater to the seat cushion cover, and then remove the seat cushion heater from the seat cushion cover.
