INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL TILT AND TELESCOPIC MANUAL SWITCH



(a) Attach the claw to install the switch.

(b) Connect the switch connector.

2. INSTALL UPPER STEERING COLUMN COVER



(a) Attach the claw.

(b) Attach the 4 clips to install the upper steering column cover onto the instrument panel cluster finish panel.

3. INSTALL LOWER STEERING COLUMN COVER



(a) Attach the 2 claws to install the lower steering column cover.

(b) Install the 3 screws.

Torque: 1.5 N·m (15 kgf·cm, 13 in·lbf)

HINT:

Turn the steering wheel to the right and left as necessary to install the 2 screws.

4. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

NOTICE:

Reset the AUTO TILT AWAY function setting to the previous condition by changing the customize parameter INTRODUCTION: REPAIR INSTRUCTION: CUSTOMIZE PARAMETERS (2008 LX570) .

5. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT

(a) Inspect the SRS warning light SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEMS: AIRBAG SYSTEM: DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM (2008 LX570) .
