Title: CRUISE CONTROL: DYNAMIC RADAR CRUISE CONTROL SYSTEM: DESCRIPTION (2008 LX570)

DTC

U0235

Lost Communication with Cruise Control Front Distance Range Sensor

DESCRIPTION

The distance control ECU sends general vehicle control information, such as vehicle speed, steering angle, etc., to the millimeter wave radar sensor. The millimeter wave radar sensor sends information about whether another vehicle is present in front of the vehicle, the distance between the vehicles, relative speed, etc. to the distance control ECU. The distance control ECU sends this information to the ECM and performs control of cruise control.

DTC Code

DTC Detection Condition

Trouble Area

U0235

The vehicle speed is 40 km/h (25 mph) or more with the cruise control main switch on (vehicle-to-vehicle distance control mode) and the data sent from the millimeter wave radar sensor to the distance control ECU is abnormal.

  • Millimeter wave radar sensor
  • Distance control ECU
  • Harness or connector
  • CAN communication system

4.

CHECK DTC (DYNAMIC RADAR CRUISE CONTROL SYSTEM)

(a) Using the Techstream, enter the following menus: Powertrain / Radar Cruise / Trouble Code.

(b) Clear the DTCs CRUISE CONTROL: DYNAMIC RADAR CRUISE CONTROL SYSTEM: DTC CHECK / CLEAR (2008 LX570) .

(c) Perform the following to make sure the DTC detection conditions are met.

HINT:

If the detection conditions are not met, the system cannot detect the malfunction.

(1) Drive the vehicle at a speed of 40 km/h (25 mph) or more.

(2) Turn the cruise control main switch on.

(3) Push the -SET switch to activate the dynamic radar cruise control.

(d) Check for DTCs CRUISE CONTROL: DYNAMIC RADAR CRUISE CONTROL SYSTEM: DTC CHECK / CLEAR (2008 LX570) .

OK:

DTC U0235 is not output.
