INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1.

INSPECT FUSE (B/DR CLSR RH, B/DR CLSR LH)

(a) Remove the B/DR CLSR RH and B/DR CLSR LH fuses from the cowl side junction block RH.

(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:

CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ECU - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)



(a) Disconnect the L34 ECU connector.

(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Voltage:

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

INSPECT LOWER TAIL GATE LOCK ASSEMBLY


(a) for LH:

(1) Remove the lower tail gate lock LH DOOR / HATCH: TAIL GATE: DISASSEMBLY (2008 LX570)+ .

(2) Set the lower tail gate lock LH to the half-latch position.

(3) Apply battery voltage and check the operation of the lower tail gate lock motor LH.

OK:

Measurement Condition

Specified Condition

Battery positive (+) → Terminal 5 (ACT+)

Battery negative (-) → Terminal 6 (ACT-)

Latch turns to over-latch position


(b) for RH:

(1) Remove the lower tail gate lock RH DOOR / HATCH: TAIL GATE: DISASSEMBLY (2008 LX570)+ .

(2) Set the lower tail gate lock RH to the half-latch position.

(3) Apply battery voltage and check the operation of the lower tail gate lock motor RH.

OK:

Battery positive (+) → Terminal 5 (ACT+)

Battery negative (-) → Terminal 6 (ACT-)

Latch turns to over-latch position

CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (LOCK - ECU)


(a) for LH:

(1) Disconnect the f3 lock connector.

(2) Disconnect the L34 ECU connector.

(3) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
