DESCRIPTION

  1. The HV control ECU alerts the driver and performs fail safe control based on error signals sent from the battery smart unit.

MONITOR DESCRIPTION

If the battery smart unit detects an internal malfunction in the unit itself, the HV control ECU illuminates the MIL and sets a DTC.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

After repairing, restart the system (put the vehicle into the READY-on state) and recheck for DTCs. (Click here)


1. READ OUTPUT DTC

  1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.

  1. Select the following menu items: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / DTC.

  1. Read output DTCs. (Click here)

    Result:
    DTCs are output.
