REMOVAL

Removal / installation

HINT:
  1. Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
  2. The procedures listed below are for the LH side.


1. PRECAUTION

CAUTION:
Be sure to read "PRECAUTION" thoroughly before servicing (Click here).


2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION:
Wait for 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable to prevent the airbag working.


3. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF LH PLATE

  1. B111782
    Disengage the 6 claws and 4 clips, and remove the front door scuff plate.

  1. Disconnect the connector. (w/ illumination scuff plate)


4. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF LH PLATE

  1. B111783
    Disengage the 4 claws and 2 clips, and remove the rear door scuff plate.

  1. Disconnect the connector. (w/ illumination scuff plate)


5. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM LH WEATHERSTRIP

6. REMOVE REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM LH WEATHERSTRIP

7. REMOVE LAP BELT OUTER ANCHOR COVER

    Disengage the 2 claws and remove the lap belt outer anchor, as shown in the illustration.

    HINT:
    Use the same procedure to remove the other side.


8. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR LH GARNISH LOWER

    Disengage the 3 claws and 2 clips, and remove the center pillar garnish lower.


9. REMOVE FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.

  1. Remove the nut and disengage the shoulder side of the front seat outer belt assembly.

    Using a screwdriver, pull out the locking button in the direction shown by the arrow to release the lock, and disconnect the pretensioner connector.

    HINT:
    Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  1. Disconnect the tension reducer connector.

  1. B115712
    Remove the 2 bolts and front seat outer belt assembly.


10. REMOVE SIDE AIRBAG SENSOR LH

  1. H042706E01
    Remove the 2 bolts and the side airbag sensor LH.

  1. Disconnect the connector from the side airbag sensor LH.
