Diagnostic trouble codes

DESCRIPTION

The HV control ECU receives collision signals from the airbag sensor assembly CTR, circuit breaker sensor (front collision sensor), circuit breaker sensor RR RH (rear collision sensor right), and circuit breaker sensor RR LH (rear collision sensor left) to detect the destruction of the vehicle. After detecting the destruction of the vehicle, the HV control ECU shuts off the high-voltage systems for safety.

  2. Collision is determined by the signal from the circuit breaker sensor (front collision sensor)

  4. Collision is determined by the signal from the rear circuit breaker sensor LH (rear collision sensor left)
  1. Center airbag sensor assembly
  2. Circuit breaker sensor
  3. Rear circuit breaker sensor RH
  4. Rear circuit breaker sensor LH
  5. Destruction of the vehicle

HINT:
If P1608-308 is output, the vehicle cannot start unless the DTC is cleared using the intelligent tester.


INSPECTION PROCEDURE


1. CHECK VEHICLE FOR ANY DAMAGE

  1. Check the vehicle condition.

    Result:
    The vehicle is damaged.

2. READ OUTPUT DTC (HV)

  1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.

  1. Select the following menu items: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / DTC.

  1. Read output DTC. (Click here)

    Result:
    The DTCs shown in the table below are output:
    DTC No.
    		 Proceed to
    P1606 and PA01D are output.
    		 A
    P1606 only is output.
    		 B

3. CHECK SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM

  1. Troubleshoot the airbag system.

    Result:
    There is a malfunction.

4. CONFIRM INFORMATION (EXCLUSIVE INFO 1 TO 4)

  1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.

  1. Select the following menu items: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / DTC.

  1. Access the freeze frame data corresponding to DTC P1606 and select the information.

  1. Read "Specific Iinformation" of the information of INF code 308.

    Result:
    Displayed item in exclusive information 4
    		 Proceed to
    Specific information 1 indicates 126.
    		 A
    Specific information 2 indicates -126.
    		 B
    Specific information 3 indicates -126.
    		 C
    Specific information 4 indicates -126.
